For the cat who ran the house

Cat memorial portraits

Cats rarely sit still for a good photo, so many of the pictures we keep are half-hidden, mid-yawn or in bad light. A memorial portrait gives your cat the calm, beautiful image they never posed for.

Eyes and markings, exactly right

With cats, recognition lives in the eyes and the pattern: a copper stare, a tabby "M" on the forehead, one white paw. Our scenes keep these details from your photo instead of averaging them away.

A photo is enough

A face that is visible and in focus is all we need. Phone photos from the windowsill, the sofa or the top of the wardrobe all work — we replace the background completely.

Quiet, timeless scenes

Popular choices include their favourite sunny spot on the sofa, a soft spring garden and a classic painted portrait. A calm expression and a watercolour or oil painting style give a peaceful, lasting feel.

Questions

My cat had unusual eye colours — will you keep them?

Yes. Eye colour is one of the details we specifically preserve, including odd-eyed cats. A clear, front-facing photo helps the most.

Can I use a photo where my cat is lying down?

Yes. Choose the lying-down or sleeping pose and the portrait will feel natural.

Do you keep my photos?

No. Uploads are used only to create your portrait and are deleted automatically after a few days.

Can I make a version for someone else?

Of course. Many people create a second scene to give to a family member or friend who loved the same cat.
